PDT Training Divisions

Why PDT?

Philadelphia Dance Theatre is the region's premier classical ballet school and performing company. Under the direction of Joy Delaney Capponi, the school provides comprehensive dance training for the recreational dancer or the aspiring professional. PDT provides a culture where each student is valued and nurtured within a community that promotes excellence, encourages personal responsibility, and emphasizes integrity. Alumni have gone on to study with internationally recognized schools. PDT'S performing company presents an acclaimed Nutcracker each December and a new works each spring as well as performing as members of Regional Dance America Northeast.

Steps to enroll at PDT

  1. Schedule a free trial class at PDT

  2. Following your class PDT faculty will place you in a level and provide you with a recommended schedule.

  3. Make an account through The Studio Director portal and register for your desired classes.

Since 1998, Philadelphia Dance Theatre has been offering high-quality, richly creative, pre-professional dance instruction for both children and young adults in the Philadelphia area.
