3-Week Summer Intensive
July 17th- August 4th
Philadelphia Dance Theatre’s Summer Intensive provides unparalleled training by our respected faculty and guest faculty. PDT’s proven curriculum will build your confidence as a dancer, enhance your technique and artistry, and expose you to various techniques presented by world-class faculty.
As a summer student, you will experience a program that is focused on advancing your strength and technique in ballet with daily conditioning, technique, pointe, and additional styles including character, variations, contemporary, music, improv, partnering, jazz, and hip-hop.
The intensive will culminate in a performance on PDT’s beautiful outdoor stage, dance under the stars alongside some of PDT’s fantastic Alumni!

Dress code
Leotard and tights for ballet class
Form fitting shorts/pants may be worn for Jazz/Contemporary
Skirts may be worn for pointe class
Ballet slippers
Pointe shoes - if applicable
Jazz shoes
Dancers are welcome to wear skin tone tights, their shoes must match the color of their tights.
Tights should be clean and pulled down around feet.
Hair should always be pulled back neatly in a bun for ballet or a pony tail for modern/jazz.
Dancers with dreads or other natural hair styles are asked to secure hair away from face, so that it is not distracting when dancing.

Classes run from 9:00-3:30 each day. Some days dancers may finish at 4:00pm. Please check the schedule each day for your dismissal time.
