Join Sarah Lane, former principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre, for an exclusive master class on Saturday, October 12th, at Philadelphia Dance Theatre.

Two sessions are available:

  • 10:00-12:00 PM - Intermediate Ballet Technique & Pointe

  • Ages 10-12 years old / PDT Levels 3x/4/4x

  • 12:00-12:30 - Complementary nutrition talk and Q&A session for all dancers

  • 12:30-2:30 PM - Advanced Ballet Technique & Pointe

  • Ages 13 and up / PDT Levels 5/5x

Cost:

  • $40.00 for non-PDT dancers

  • $25.00 for PDT dancers

  • $40 for PDT dancers wishing to take both classes

Sarah Lane began her dance training in Memphis, Tennessee at the Memphis Classical Ballet and later at the Draper Center for Dance Education in Rochester, New York. She joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company in 2002, joining the main company as an apprentice in 2003 and the corps de ballet in April 2004. She rose to soloist in 2007 and principal in 2017, dancing principal roles in Manon, Giselle, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Coppélia, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, Theme and Variations, Harlequinade, and Whipped Cream, among many others. Lane has performed as an international guest artist with companies such as Houston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Richmond Ballet, Teatro dell' Opera di Roma, Kremlin Ballet, Barcelona Ballet, NBA Ballet Company and Hong Kong Ballet. Lane is also an international guest ballet teacher, an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and an alumna of the Harvard Crossover into Business Program. She has worked as a rehearsal director and school director and is completing her BFA.
